Mrs Baker Update

Unfortunately Mrs Baker will not be back in school before we break up for Christmas due to the severity of her fracture. We hope that she is not too uncomfortable and send her our best wishes. Mrs Stafford  will be visiting her towards the end of term and is happy to pass on any Christmas cards, etc.

Parent Governor Vacancy – please do think about applying!

A reminder that we currently have a vacancy for one parent governor and invite applications from parents or anyone who has parental responsibility for a pupil on the school roll at the time of the election. Parent governors, like all governors, will be most effective if they bring relevant skills and experience, as well as the ability to work as part of a team. We need committed parent governors to make the governing body as effective as it can be.  All nominations should be sent in to the school office by 3.15pm on Tuesday 12 December 2017. If you would like to know a little more about becoming a parent governor, please get in touch with any member of the governing body.

Poppy Appeal

We are pleased to let you know that a total of £124.26 was collected by everyone at Stadhampton School. The snap bands were certainly very popular this year! Thank you.

Emergency School Closures

If the weather is particularly bad or there are power cuts in the village and the decision is made to close the school closures are announced during the breakfast shows on BBC Radio Oxford (95.2 FM), Heart FM (102.6/97.4/102.9/103.4 FM), and Jack FM (106.8). Parents are advised to tune into these local radio stations and also check their e-mails if there is a possibility that the school could be closed. We will also do our best to put a message onto the school website if there is power!

Cold Weather Clothing

Please could everyone ensure that children have suitable clothing for outdoor breaks in this cold weather – a coat, hats, gloves and a scarf would be ideal (named please!).

LITTLE BEARS NEWS:

The Little Bears have enjoyed finding out about freezing and melting. We have been exploring our garden and seeing what effect the weather is having out there and have found frozen water and crunchy grass.  We’ve also extended the topic of ‘Kindness’ and continue to support and help children learn the importance of rules and listening to what our friends say.

Rehearsals for the Christmas play are in full swing now and Little Bears look forward to their performance in two weeks time.
