Applications for Secondary Schools to start in September 2019
Children born between 1st September 2007 and 31st August 2008 (inclusive) need to apply for a secondary school place for their children. You can now apply online for a secondary school place. If you are unable to apply online, you can complete a paper application form. The deadline for receipt of secondary school applications is 31 October 2018.

Please note that UID numbers no longer work for online applications. Applicants now have to manually enter all requested details. If your application is late, it will be processed later in the year and you are far less likely to get a place at one of your preferred schools.

PTA Meeting - Wednesday 7th November - after school

We will be holding an informal PTA meeting in the hall after school on Wednesday 7th November. We realise many parents find evening meetings difficult to attend due to work and childcare commitments, so we are hoping a change in time will give lots of families a chance to come along.
Please take the opportunity to come along and say hello, meet other parents, find out what the PTA does, what funds have been spent on or to share your ideas on fundraising.  If you can help with fundraising, perhaps by making some cakes for Cake Club or helping at some of our events, or perhaps you are interested in becoming an active PTA member or have other skills to offer, please do pop in and have a chat.  Everyone is welcome, there will be activities in Class 1 to keep children occupied.

Well done Amelia for winning the delicious cake made by Hollee – Thank you Hollee. This week’s cake is being very kindly provided by Angela M. Thank you so much for your support. All monies raised directly help the children.

Week Ending 12 October 2018

Open Morning – Wednesday

It was lovely to be able to welcome so many visitors to school on Wednesday morning when both existing and prospective parents were able to see the school in action. The children in each class were clearly engaged in their learning and there was a quiet, purposeful atmosphere throughout school. We received many positive comments and observations and open morning gives us all an opportunity to reflect on the provision we offer at Stadhampton School.

Thank you to all staff and pupils for making it such a positive morning and to the Governors who generously gave up their free time to take our visitors around the school.

Christmas Cards
We are using a company called IQ cards this year to print your child’s Christmas design onto Greetings Cards, Postcards, Gift Wrap and Gift labels, as well as magnets and coasters.    Hopefully you will have found your child’s artwork in bookbags this week.

On the reverse of the design is an order form.  If you would like to order any of the products listed, please fill this in and return it together with payment to the office as soon as possible and NO LATER THAN FRIDAY 19th OCTOBER.

A proportion of all funds raised will go directly to PTA funds, so please place orders as soon as possible.

Week Ending 05 October 2018

Happy October Birthday to: Noah, Laila, Ella, Mia, Harvey, Oliver, Harvey and Harry.

During OCTOBER we are focusing on the core value of APPRECIATION

Applications for Secondary Schools to start in September 2019

Open Morning – Wednesday 10th October
In conjunction with Little Bears, the school will be open to visitors from 09.00am to 11.30am families now making their decisions about their choice of primary school for September 2019 as well as for families and the local community. Please do come along and see the school at work between these times if you are able, whether you are a prospective parent or an existing one!

Forest School Volunteers
As you know, as a school we are in the very fortunate position of being able to offer Forest School sessions to all children on a regular basis.  We do, however, need parent volunteers to allow these sessions to go ahead, as this year we have more sessions than we have had previously. We need volunteers for all year groups, on a Tuesday morning (Years 3-6 in rotation), on a Tuesday afternoon (Reception) and on a Thursday morning (Years 1 & 2 in rotation).

The attached guidelines for helping at Forest School should give you an idea of what is needed, so if you are interested in helping either on a regular or ad-hoc basis, or if you need any further information, please let Melanie Gravett know.

Please be aware that all volunteers at Forest School (as with any volunteers in school) need to read and sign the volunteer’s code of conduct and anyone willing to volunteer on a more regular basis will need to apply for a DBS check.
