Parent Governor Vacancy
The Governing
Body are delighted to announce the appointment of James Dickens as a Parent
Governor with effect from 18 December 2017 and look forward to working with him
to make the governing body as effective as it can be. There was no requirement
to hold an election at this time.
School Christmas
Productions
Thank you, as always, for all your support.
We had a great turnout of parents and other relatives to attend both
productions. All the children did really well and are a credit to you all. Proceeds
from the sale of tickets this year will be sent to the NSPCC and we are
delighted to let you know that we raised £392. Thank you!
Our Key Stage 2 production, ‘Cinderella
Rockerfella’ was great fun and was clearly thoroughly enjoyed by pupils and
audience alike! Thank you to you, as parents, for helping support us with
providing amazing costumes and helping your child/ren practise their lines. Thank
you to all staff involved, especially Mrs Wahid, Mrs Garrard, Mrs Singleton, Mrs
Shortman, Mrs Ellis and Mrs Venner and to Mrs Burnell, Mrs Hutchence and Mrs
Green for their additional support, and to the PTA for providing the after
performance bar.
Our Key Stage 1 and Reception production, ‘Born
in a Barn’ was also most enjoyable and the children did so well to learn all
the songs and remember their speaking parts and actions. We are already seeing
glimpses of who may be taking on lead parts in the future! Thank you to all
staff involved and especially Mrs Manzie, Mrs Stafford, Mrs Venner and Mrs
Gravett.
Our annual Nativity and Carol Service will
be held in the church of St John the Baptist in Stadhampton at 2:15pm on Monday
18 December and you are most welcome to join us. All pupils will come back to
school after the Nativity and Carol Service so that parents can collect them
from here.
