During

Thank
you
All members of staff would like to join me
in thanking you for your many good wishes, Christmas cards and very thoughtful
Christmas gifts. We don’t expect any gifts but are very touched by your
generosity and thoughtfulness. Thank you!
Staffing
Update - Mrs Baker
Although Mrs Baker has recently had her
cast taken off following a very nasty fracture, she is still not well enough to
be back in school at the present time and may not be back this half term. We
send her our very best wishes and look forward to welcoming her back to school
as soon as she is well enough.
Swimming
at the Abbey Sports Centre in January
Swimming will start for Class 2 pupils at
the Abbey Sports Centre on Monday 8 January. They will have 5 sessions leading
up to half-term. As always, we are most grateful to receive a ‘voluntary
contribution’ from parents of £2 per child per swimming session towards the
transport costs (currently £75 per visit). Cheques for swimming contributions (£10
in total) should be made payable to Stadhampton School. Thank you, in advance, for
your continued support, it is very much appreciated.
After
School Clubs
This term we are offering after school
clubs as follows:
- Computing for
Years 3-6 on Mondays
- Multisports
for Years 1-6 on Thursdays
Letters detailing the dates of the clubs,
costs etc will be sent out this week and also uploaded to the school website.
School
Newsletters – please tell us your thoughts!
Finding effective ways to communicate with
parents and establish strong home-school links is very important to us and we would
welcome feedback from you about our school newsletter.
We are aware that not everyone reads it on
a weekly basis and perhaps that is because some parents think that sending out a
weekly newsletter is too much. Some local schools only send out a newsletter
once a month – is that something you think we should consider switching to? We
work hard to ensure that parents have access to information when they need it by
uploading recent letters, details of after school clubs, school meals menu,
forest school dates, calendar events, etc to our school website and have twice
recently sent out details of how parents can sync the website calendar with
their phone. Please let us know your thoughts about the frequency/format of the
school newsletter so that we can do our best to ensure that you have access to
the information you need when you need it. Thank you!

Cake
Club
The Cake Club
draw is an exciting part of the end of our school assembly on Fridays. Mrs
Venner manages the Cake Club on behalf of the PTA and it costs 20p a week to
have your child’s name entered into the draw. In order to reduce the
administration time for the draw it is very helpful if parents can pay for a
half term at a time – so the cost would be £1 for the next five weeks of the
draw. Please see Mrs Venner if you would like to pay for your child to be entered
in the draw or if you would be willing to go on the rota to supply a cake for
the draw. Thank you.
