Week Ending 22 March 2019

Comic Relief Red Noses
It was lovely to see so many pupils and staff making an effort with their red/red and white accessories. The children enjoyed decorating their classroom doors and Ladybirds made rednoses for display. Sainsbury’s have donated surplus stock and thanks to Mr Denton for arranging this. At the end of school on Friday all children will be given an opportunity to bring one home. We sold all our Red Noses, this combined with other contributions we raised £145.05. Thank you.

Woodlands Residential
We wish our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils, and accompanying staff, a fantastic residential visit to Woodlands Outdoor Education Centre next week. We look forward to hearing all about it!

Swimming Contributions Class 3
Thank you to those parents who have already given their swimming contribution. As always, we are most grateful to receive a ‘voluntary contribution’ from parents of £2 per child per swimming session towards the transport costs (currently £75 per visit). Cheques for swimming contributions (£10 in total) should be made payable to Stadhampton School. Thank you, in advance, for your continued support, it is very much appreciated.

Class 2 Swimming
A reminder that Class 2 will be swimming this Monday as Class 3 are away at Woodlands.

Following the success of our Easter cake competition last year, we will be holding another Easter cupcake competition for the children on Wednesday 3rd April, together with a cake sale on the same day after school.

If your child would like to enter, please make sure their Easter themed cupcakes (or biscuits) are brought into school on the Wednesday morning for judging, along with the entry fee of £1.  There will be a prize for the best decorated cake in each year group.  Unless otherwise specified, all cakes will then be sold as part of the cake sale after school.

Donations of cakes or biscuits (Easter themed or not) for the cake sale are also very welcome.

THE GREAT BOOK SWAP
WHERE: Stadhampton Village Hall at St John's
WHEN: Saturday 23rd March, 10 -12
Parking available.

The Great Book Swap is a project aimed at bringing second hand books to
people in towns and villages who do not have easy access to a library or
bookshop. It will be a pop up event at village halls around the South
East Oxfordshire area.

The concept is, that you bring in book(s) for credit against books on
the shelves. The better the quality of book that you bring in, the more
credit you will get back. You can either bring in books to swap for
credit or buy books in our stock on the shelves.

There will be tea, coffee, squash and cake available at a small price to
drink whilst you browse, read or chat. Proceeds from drink and cake
sales go to the church.

Card payments accepted for books.
