Week Ending 15 March 2019

World Book Day
We had lots of fun on World book dressing up as our favourite characters!  It was wonderful to see all of the children bringing their favourite characters to life.

Work Viewing Evening Monday 11.03.19
It was good to see a number of parents and pupils at our Work Viewing Evening last Monday. We hope those who were able to attend were able to gain further insight into their child’s work and progress as a result of this opportunity.

Meerkat Champion of the Week
Congratulations to;

Class 1 - Imogen
Class 2  -
Class 3  -

Unfortunately selecting a Meerkat Champion for Classes 2 and 3 was too tight to call. Let’s see who stands out next week!

Oxford United Football Match
As part of Oxford United’s 30 year anniversary, they have offered each Oxfordshire Primary School 4 free tickets to their match against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday 30th March. All recipients of the tickets will be sitting together in the same area. To pass on this good fortune we have decided to offer our tickets as two lots of two. If you would be interested in two tickets please put your child’s name in a sealed envelope with Oxford United on the front. Envelopes need to be handed in to the office by Friday 22nd March and we will draw two envelopes out in assembly next Friday. Actual tickets will be received in school by Wednesday 27th March which we will then pass on. Thank you.

THE GREAT BOOK SWAP
WHERE: Stadhampton Village Hall at St John's
WHEN: Saturday 23rd March, 10 -12
Parking available.

The Great Book Swap is a project aimed at bringing second hand books to
people in towns and villages who do not have easy access to a library or
bookshop. It will be a pop up event at village halls around the South
East Oxfordshire area.

The concept is, that you bring in book(s) for credit against books on
the shelves. The better the quality of book that you bring in, the more
credit you will get back. You can either bring in books to swap for
credit or buy books in our stock on the shelves.

There will be tea, coffee, squash and cake available at a small price to
drink whilst you browse, read or chat. Proceeds from drink and cake
sales go to the church.

Card payments accepted for books.
