their entry money in for Stadhampton’s Got Talent by Monday 9 July. The acts
will be performed in front of their class during Monday to Thursday and one act
from each year group will be performed to the whole school on Friday 13 July.
Thank you for your support. We can’t wait
to see the children’s talents – and help other children as a result!
Year

A reminder that we
would very much appreciate a contribution of £1.50 per child to cover the cost
of providing a camp-fire lunch on Tuesday 17 July. Please return this to
Melanie Gravett or the school office as soon as possible and also let us know
about any special dietary requirements. Thank you.
NITS
Two families have reported that they have
found nits in their childs/children’s hair this week. Please could all families
please check and treat if necessary so that this outbreak can be cleared up
quickly. Thank you.
Sports Evening
Arrangements
Our Sports
Evening is an annual school highlight. Pupils have been practising, the PTA
have all the refreshments organised, the governors are ready to adjudicate and
we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a dry evening. Here are a few final
reminders to ensure that we all have an enjoyable and safe evening:
Pupils should arrive at school at
6.15pm so that the races may begin promptly at 6.30pm. Please remember to send
them with a drink of water or squash!
Parking – if
you are able to walk to sports evening it would be much appreciated and really
help the congestion in Cratlands Close. The netball court will be available for
a limited amount of parking. Please be mindful of the residents of Cratlands
Close and avoid obstructing access in and out of driveways.
Spectator line: a line has been
marked for parents/carers/visitors to position themselves behind so that pupils
are able to run safely in the outside lanes. Please bring a folding deckchair
or rug if you would like to sit down.
Finishing
line: is where the judges will be waiting to award stickers, update the
scoreboard, etc.
It is important that everyone else keep this
area clear, please.
Bar: the bar will be open from 6.15pm.
Please support the PTA by buying your drinks from the bar.
BBQ: bbq
food will be available during the races for spectators wishing to exchange
their food tickets at this time and avoid the big queue after the races.
Play equipment: for insurance
purposes this area is not available for use during sports evening.
Young children: please keep younger
siblings away from the racetrack whilst the races are on to avoid potential
collisions!
Football/ball games: we politely
request that no ball games are played whilst the races are taking place.
Should there
be any need to postpone we will send an e-mail to parents and post a message on
the home page of the school website. Thank you.
PTA
News:
Sports Night - Friday 13 July
As
ever, the PTA will be running a bar and BBQ on the evening of Sports Night on
Friday 13 July.
BBQ
tickets for hot dogs, burgers and a veggie option priced at £2.50 each are now
on sale. It would help with catering if families could buy tickets in advance.
Please return cash or cheques made payable to Stadhampton Primary School
PTA to the office with a note of how many and which tickets you need and we
will get tickets to you either at the gate or via bookbags.
Alternatively, please catch Melanie Gravett or Carol Holmes at school in
the morning or afternoon.
Disco - Thursday 19 July
5.30pm - 7pm
We will be holding an end of
term disco for all pupils on Thursday 19 July from 5.30pm until 7pm in the
hall. Letters with further details and the permission slip were sent home
in book bags last week. Please return your child’s permission slip to the
office as soon as possible if they wish to attend.
Official Notice of the PTA's
Annual General Meeting (AGM) – Wednesday 3 October, 8pm in the School Hall
The PTA plays a vital part in
the school community and all parents, as members of the PTA, are invited to
support the AGM. This is your chance to hear and see how the funds you have
helped to raise have been used for the benefit of the children at our
school.
We appreciate the date of the
AGM in October is a while away, but we wanted official notice of the meeting to
be sent out before the summer holidays so that everyone has time to think about
coming along to the meeting and / or getting more involved with the PTA.
The PTA Committee (Chair,
Treasurer, Secretary) will be elected at the AGM so if you are interested in
taking on one of these roles for the forthcoming academic year, please speak to
Melanie Gravett who can give you more details about what is involved.
Our next PTA committee
meeting will now be on Wednesday 12 September at 8pm, venue TBC.

LITTLE
BEARS NEWS:
Little Bears Preschool are seeing lots of
changes towards the end of this term. We are really sad to see Poppy leave us
at the end of term 6. Poppy will be missed hugely by the team, children and the
parents. We are really delighted to announce the Faye will be joining our team
in September. Faye (Imogen and Tori’s mummy) has lots of experience working
with children and we look forward to her joining the team in the autumn
term.
It is that time of year again when we are
preparing some of our children for the move to ‘big’ school. We have also
welcomed new children into the Pre-school this week and had lots of
visits.
We always approach the end of term with
mixed feelings. It is so hard for us to say goodbye to children & families
that we have grown close to during their time with us. However, we also feel so
proud that our little ones are fully prepared for their transition and for the
next part of their learning journey.
Little Bears Preschool will be having the
summer BBQ Friday 13th please pop along after school it’ll be great to see lots
of faces as we celebrate the end of the school year.
