Cake from the Village Celebrations to mark the Queen’s 90th Birthday

Thank you to Kerri Jones for bringing in some of the cake from the village celebration to mark the Queen’s birthday into school. All children enjoyed a piece of it during the school day. The thought of giving it to school pupils was very much appreciated!

On the subject of cake, the School Council will be holding a cake sale at Sports evening on Friday 1st July, after the races have finished. They are raising money to help buy new sports equipment relating to the Olympic Games. Community News:

VOLUNTEER BOOKING CLERK

After getting the Village Hall off to a fantastic start, Kerri is stepping down from the role of Booking Clerk in October; amazingly it will have been a three year stint! And what a fantastic job she has done. Thank you so much Kerri. So we are looking for someone (or even two people sharing it) to take on this important role in the village.  It entails taking phone calls and showing hirers around.  You can get involved in billing if you like but the Treasurer is happy to do it if you give him the necessary information. If you are interested, either have a chat with Kerri or ring me on 01865 891174. It’s a great way to get to know people and the Hall Committee will give you lots of support!

Ann Stead, Chair, Village Hall Committee
