Official Notice of the PTA's Annual General Meeting (AGM) – Wednesday 2nd October, 8pm in the School Hall

The PTA plays a vital part in the school community and all parents, as members of the PTA, are invited to support the AGM. This is your chance to hear and see how the funds you have helped to raise have been used for the benefit of the children at our school.

We appreciate the date of the AGM in October is a while away, but we wanted official notice of the meeting to be sent out before the summer holidays so that everyone has time to think about coming along to the meeting and / or getting more involved with the PTA.

The PTA Committee (Chair, Treasurer, Secretary) will be elected at the AGM so if you are interested in taking on one of these roles for the forthcoming academic year, please speak to Melanie Gravett who can give you more details about what is involved.

Cake Club
Congratulations to last weeks winners Amelia, Eva, Jem and Olivia who won cakes kindly provided by Elaine and Carol.  Good luck everyone for this weeks cake donated by Karen.

Wraparound Care
Hopefully, you will have all received the letter regarding wraparound care facilities, commencing in September. We need to understand numbers now if you're considering the option of using this service, so we can manage logistics for the autumn term (staff, catering, etc.). If you would like to find out more, or request a booking form, could we please ask that you contact school governors Anita Rowberry on 07776 202162 or Kerri Jones on 07970 975065, who are helping us with this new facility. Thank you.

Stadhampton Parish Council declares a Climate Emergency
Parish councillors voted unanimously to pass a motion to declare a climate emergency at their meeting on 2 July. After hearing from Oxford-based climate change scientist Rachael Treharne about the compelling scientific evidence for urgent action at every level of society,  the Parish Council has decided to follow the lead set by SODC, Oxfordshire County Council and the UK Parliament to declare an emergency. The council will now set up a working group to look at ways in which that declaration might be translated into meaningful action at a local level, and would warmly welcome the involvement of anyone who would like to join this group. For more information, please email Catherine Odell: cllrcatherineodell@stadhampton.org
