Week Ending 07 JUNE 2019

During JUNE we are focusing on the core value of Honesty

Happy June Birthday to: Ellie, Freya, Maya, Betsy, Sidney, Ivy and Casey

International Focus Fortnight
Each year we have an international focus fortnight to better understand the history and culture of another part of the world. With two of our pupils currently living in Uganda we thought that it was a great opportunity to liaise with them and gain a unique insight into life in Uganda. Our ‘Focus on Uganda Fortnight’ will take place between Monday 17th June and Friday 28th June. During the fortnight we will explore the history and culture of Uganda through research, art, food and stories. We also have an existing African Mask-Making and Dance Workshop arranged for Wednesday 26th

Play Equipment Before/After School
We are aware that younger siblings find our outdoor play equipment very tempting to use but please be aware that our school insurance cover does not cover us for any use of these facilities before/after school or by children who are not on roll. We appreciate your support in keeping younger siblings off this equipment.  Thank you.

After School Archery
Thank you to those parents who have confirmed a date to help as an observer/monitor for the Afterschool Archery sessions. We are still requiring volunteers to help on the 10th, 17th & 24th June and 1st July. Please could you let the school office know if you can assist? Thank you.

Quad Kids
On Wednesday morning Stadhampton School participated in the partnership Quadkids event at Chalgrove School.  Year 5/6 children were represented by four girls; Ellie, Elizabeth, Olivia and Ella and four boys; Joshua, Jack, Archie and Casey. Year 3/4 children were represented by four girls; Dixi, Anna, Ivy and Cianna and four boys; Frankie, Harry P, Freddie and Harry V.  After competing in four events - a sprint, long run, long jump and vortex throw, the points were added together. In the Year 5/6 competition we were runners up and in the Year 3/4 completion we won! A very big well done to all who took part. A special mention to Cianna who came third in the Year 3/4 individual competition. Olivia who came first in the year 5/6 girls completion and Archie who not only came first in the individual completion he also was the Overall Individual Winner for Year 5/6.

 School Photographs!
Unfortunately, due to the weather we have had to cancel our Year Group photographs which were due to take place today. This has been rearranged for Friday 14th June.

Book Fair
Thank you to everyone who purchased books and stationery items from the book sale this week. By way of commission we were able to add £48 worth of new books to each Class library!

Lost Property
We have a mountain of lost property in the box in the hall. Please do have a look through it if you are missing any items. In a couple of weeks’ time we shall dispose of any unnamed items which are past their best. Thank you.

School Uniform
We have a school uniform order in the office with no name on it, if you think this may be yours, please let us know at the School Office ASAP – Thank you.
