Week Ending 18 January 2019

Curriculum Overviews
We have now uploaded our Curriculum Overviews for each class for the Spring Term, onto our school website. These are in the form of a ‘jigsaw’ to reflect our integrated curriculum. Please have a look!

Sports Hall Athletics Tournament
“On Wedneday 16th January, Class 3 went to Icknield Community College for an athletics tournament with three other schools. Everyone did their best but unfortunately Stadhampton came 4th out of the four schools that were there. Everybody really enjoyed the events at Ickneield and people came through and did things they thought they couldn’t do.”

Swimming at the Abbey Sports Centre in January
Thank you to those parents who have already given their swimming contribution. As always, we are most grateful to receive a ‘voluntary contribution’ from parents of £2 per child per swimming session towards the transport costs (currently £75 per visit). Cheques for swimming contributions (£12 in total) should be made payable to Stadhampton School. Altogether they will have 5 sessions leading up to half-term, plus 1 additional lesson on Monday 25th March, when Class 3 are away on their Woodlands residental week. Thank you, in advance, for your continued support, it is very much appreciated.

Emergency School  Closures
As we are now officially in ‘Winter’ we remind you of our emergency closure procedures. If the weather is particularly bad or there are power cuts in the village and the decision is made to close the school closures are announced during the breakfast shows on BBC Radio Oxford (95.2 FM), Heart FM (102.6/97.4/102.9/103.4 FM), and Jack FM (106.8). Parents are advised to tune into these local radio stations and also check their e-mails if there is a possibility that the school could be closed. We will also do our best to put a message onto the school website if there is power!
