Flu Immunisations
Children in Reception through to Year 5 should have brough home NHS Flu Immunisation consent forms this week (unfortunately the NHS are not offering this for Y6). Please be reminded that these must be filled in and returned to school by THURDAY 20th SEPTEMBER regardless of whether or not you choose to have your child immunised.  Thank you

Swimming For Class 2
As always, we are very grateful to receive a ‘voluntary contribution’ towards the cost of the swimming transport to the Abbey Sports Centre, so a voluntary contribution of £2 per child per swimming session (£12 for the 6 sessions) would be very much appreciated. Cheques for swimming contributions should be made payable to Stadhampton Primary School. Thank you.

Class Curriculum Overviews – ‘Jigsaws’
Termly curriculum overviews for the Autumn Term, which comprises a coloured ‘jig-saw’ with each coloured ‘piece’ representing a subject area, have now been completed and uploaded to the school website under the ‘Classes’ section. Please also have a look at page 2 of each jigsaw which provides additional important curriculum information. Thank you.

Harvest Festival
This year our Harvest Festival celebrations will take place in school at 2.15pm on Friday 5th October. All families are warmly welcome. Further details to follow.
 
Open Morning – Wednesday 10th October
In conjunction with Little Bears, the school will be open to visitors from 09.00am to 11.30am for current families and the local community, as well as for the families now making their decisions about their choice of primary school for September 2018. Please do come along and see the school at work between these times if you are able, whether you are a prospective parent or an existing one!
 

School Photographs
Fish Pole Photography will be visiting school on Friday 21st September to take individual photographs of children and groups of siblings within school. If you wish to allow your child to bring a hairbrush for there own personal use please do so.

Siblings from Little Bears are invited to have photographs taken with older brothers or sisters from 8.30am  -  please note that they must have a parent or guardian present for this. If you wish to bring your Little Bears child at this time please let Mrs Kerbey know. Thank you.

Forest School
Thank you to everyone who has already completed and returned the consent letter for pupils to take part in our Forest School sessions. A reminder that the letter must be completed and returned to school so that your child may participate in Forest School sessions. Thank you.

Sports Coach
We welcome Mr Waheed Ramzan as our new Sports Coach. Mr Ramzan has his own sports coaching company (WR Sports) and will teach children in Classes 1, 2 and 3 during our Enrichment Afternoon on Thursdays and run our Multisports After School Club on Thursdays. We look forward to working with Mr Ramzan this year.

Go Guitar Tuition
A reminder that for those children who have guitar lessons, Mr Payne’s lessons will be taking place on Fridays, with the first lesson commencing on on 21st September. If you have a child in Year 3 upwards who would like to start guitar lessons  please contact Mr Payne on 07921087816 or  goguitarmail@yahoo.co.uk.

Gardening Club
Could parents please ensure that all children attending Gardening club have wellies with them each week. Thank you.

Oxforshire County Music Service

Cake Club
Well done Oliver and Daniel for winning the cakes last week. I hope they were OK. This week’s cake is being made be Elaine B, thank you Elaine. Its not to late to enter; £10 for the year or 25p per week. Please see Mel, Vicky or drop the money and name into the office.

Little Bears News
We have all settled back into preschool life and enjoying fun filled days. 
We are enjoying making our own ‘moon sand’, mixing paint colours and making play dough. 
We look forward to this terms topic of ‘All About Me’ and lots of fun activities.

October Sports Course at Stadhampton School
Michael Hopkins will be leading a sports course at Stadhampton School on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd October. The cost is from 9am to 3pm and costs £15 per day and is open to pupils aged 4 to 11.
