Cake Sale for
Woodlands
In appreciation of the amazing time that
all our pupils enjoyed at Woodlands recently we would like to hold an after
school Cake Sale on Monday 17 July at
3.15pm. All profits made at the sale will be donated to Woodlands to help
improve their facilities and support pupils who benefit from bursaries via the
Dave Thorne Bursary Fund. We do hope that all parents of pupils in Class 3 will
help to support this event. Thank you.
Festival
of Voices
We
are delighted to let you know that collections were made on each evening of the
Festival of Voices recently and that in total £2075 was raised for Save the
Children fund. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this amazing result.
Clarinets
Please could all current Year 5 pupils make sure that their clarinet is back in
school and ready for collection by the County Music Service on Monday.
As several families of current Year 4 pupils were unable to make a commitment to paying a
voluntary contribution for ‘First Access’ clarinet lessons in the new academic
year, we are, unfortunately, unable to continue to offer the lessons to them as
Year 5s. We know that a number of families will be very disappointed with this
outcome and we are exploring other options which we will share when we know
more.
Year
6 Treat on Monday 10 July
We have arranged
for Year 6 pupils to visit the Crazy Bear Farm Shop on Monday 10 July for an
end of year leavers treat. They will be accompanied by Mrs Hopkins and Mrs Wilkin.
Thank you to everyone who has paid the requested donation of £3 towards the
cost of this special treat. Cash or cheque please to Stadhampton Primary
School. Thank you.
Forest
School Year 6 – Thursday 13 July
Year 6’s last Forest School session will be
in the morning of Thursday 13th July. As in previous years, we
would like to mark the occasion by staying at Forest School for a slightly
extended session, so that Y6 can have lunch cooked on the fire (hot dogs,
marshmallows etc). This would mean the children would return to school by
1pm and would not need a packed lunch or school meal on that day.
We would very much appreciate a
contribution of £1.50 per child to cover the cost of lunch. Please return
this to Melanie Gravett or the school office as soon as possible and also let
us know about any special dietary requirements. Thank you to everyone who has
already paid this.
