Woodlands Residential Visit for Years 5 and 6

As the date for the residential trip for pupils in Years 5 and 6 approaches, individual letters detailing the outstanding balance owed for the Woodlands visit from 19 -23 June have been sent home at the end of this week. Also in the letter is a kit list, details of departure time and expected arrival time home, arrangements for money to spend in the shop, purchase of T-shirts and photo discs, arrangements for medicines and inhalers, contact with school during the week, etc. Please ensure that you have seen this important letter.  Thank you.

Music Concert on Tuesday 16 May

We have a number of pupils In Classes 2 and 3 who have specialist music lessons in school (including piano, guitar, clarinet and saxophone) and we have arranged to hold a concert in the school hall from 2.30 to 3.10pm on Tuesday 16 May. The audience will be made up of other pupils in the school (apart from Reception pupils who will be at Forest School) and as many parents as would like to attend!

We have arranged this concert in conjunction with the children’s specialist teachers (piano - Mrs Drake, guitar - Mr Payne, woodwind – Mr Murray) who all intend to be present. We think this would be a great way to celebrate and showcase the talents of our young musicians and hope that you will be able to join us! To help us organise enough seating please let Mrs Hopkins or Mrs Scragg in the office know if you would like to join us. Thank you.

Easyfundraising

In the past, the PTA has asked families to register with Easyfundraising.org.uk as it is an easy way of raising money for the school just by shopping online.  In the last few months, we have raised over £50 from just a few parents registered with the site.

Easyfundraising.org.uk provides a FREE service where you can shop with your favourite online stores and at no extra cost raise funds for the PTA. Simply access your chosen websites by using the links from the Easyfundraising.org.uk site or use the ‘Find and Remind’ toolbar on the website. There are over 3,000 retailers and online sites registered with Easyfundraising and each purchase you make will generate a cashback donation to the PTA.

All you need to do is register at Easyfundraising.org.uk. It is very easy, you only need to register once and it only takes a few minutes.  It costs you nothing, so please register on the site if you can.

Our next PTA meeting is on Tuesday 13th June, The Crown, 8pm.  Please join us if you can, all welcome.
