Chess Club
Stadhampton are yet again taking part in the British Land UK Chess Challenge! Every Tuesday lunchtime 27 children from Years 2 to Year 6 are competing in tournaments against each other at Chess Club, run by Miss Shah. Reverend David has also been assisting at these sessions. Hopefully we will produce some strong candidates to take part in the County events in a few months time!

Dance and Gym Festival at ICC – Report by Amy Akers
On Friday 26th February Class 3 went to Icknield Community College for our Partnership Dance Festival. There were lots of dances and schools, including Chalgrove, RAF Benson, Lewknor and more. Our dance was a Turkish dance. The other dances were mostly pop dances and we showed everyone in the large school hall. We enjoyed the dance festival which included an extra dance lesson for us given by some of the Icknield students.

Mid-Year Summary Reports and Work Viewing Evening
Every child should have brought home their Mid-Year Summary Report today. This single-page report provides information about pupil progress towards key targets for their year group. This report is shortly followed by our Work Viewing Evening from 3.30 to 6.00pm on Monday 15th March. This provides parents with an opportunity to look at their child/ren’s work, with or without child/ren. Although there is no appointment system, teachers will be available in their classrooms for parents to consult with, briefly.

Tag Rugby Coaching

We are very pleased to welcome Mr Andy Highton, a R.F.U rugby coach into school this term. He is providing tag rugby coaching for pupils in Classes 2 and 3 on Friday afternoons until the Easter Holidays. Please ensure all pupils in Classes 2 and 3 have their outdoor PE Kit in school on Fridays.

Premier Sports Coach
We also welcome Mr Leo Brooks, our new Premier Sports Coach, who will be working with all pupils in Years 1 – 6 on Thursday afternoons.

Marie Curie Cancer Care – Great Daffodil Appeal

The annual Marie Curie Cancer Care Great Daffodil Appeal takes place again during March. Once again we are pleased to support this appeal by displaying a box of buttonhole daffodils in the hall. Daffodils are available, for a donation, and these donations will help Marie Curie Cancer Care to provide a nurse to care for someone with terminal cancer locally. Thank you.

Little Bears News
The Little Bears enjoyed another assembly with FS1 & Class 1 on Monday. To support our “Spring Baby Animals” theme this week, the children have produced some wonderful craft, particularly the lambs. It's as if our Little Bears have transformed into lambs this week skipping around the garden in the beautiful sunshine! The staff at Little Bears would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Burnell (Beau's dad) for taking time out of his extremely busy schedule to do some repairs in our garden. We are very grateful for the fantastic work he has done.
