Key
Stage 1 SATs Week
KS1 SATs will take place the week before
our KS2 SATs, commencing Tuesday 7th May. Please endeavour to ensure
that all pupils in Year 2 attend school that week and avoid medical
appointments. Please see Mrs Manzie if you have any concerns. Thank you.
Chess
Club
Chess Club this year had attendees from
Yr1-Yr5. We started some match games straight away for some children, whilst
others practised and learnt how to play. All club members became confident
enough to play matches by the end of the 8 weeks we had been meeting for. We
had a tie of 2 pupils with the most points and had to have an extra ‘play-off’
match to decide the final position and also for 3rd place.
Nate MB and Jude B played for 3rd
place, and drew. Noah B and Peter F-V played for the trophy and Noah won. Well done to Noah, and
to all who took part and played with good sportsmanship!
Swimming
after the Easter Holiday
Swimming will commence for Class
2 after the holidays. They will have 5 sessions in total (April 29th,
May 13th & 20th, June 3rd & 10th.
As always, we are most grateful to receive a ‘voluntary contribution’ from
parents towards the cost of the transport (currently £75 a visit) in cash or by
cheque please (for £10 for the five sessions,) with cheques made payable to Stadhampton Primary – Acer Trust. Class 3
will commence swimming on Monday 17th June for 5 weeks.
