Newsletter No 4 / 27th November 2009

James Carter – Poet in Residence
All pupils thoroughly enjoyed the time poet James Carter spent in school on Wednesday. He took Key Stage assemblies, worked with each class and lead an after school fun family workshop. It was lovely that so many of you were able to join in with the family workshop, we hope you enjoyed the event. We are fortunate that James will return to school to work with pupils and staff next Wednesday and although there will not be another family workshop session, there will be a pupil poetry presentation to parents at the end of the school day. If you would like to come to this please arrive at the front door at 2.45pm. The presentation will be finished before the end of the school day.

Children in Need
Stadhampton School and Little Bears Pre-School collectively raised the magnificent sum of £189.22 for Children in Need. Thank you to all who contributed to a truly dotty day!

Message from PTA Committee:
PTA News – Please remember to dig out those donations for the Christmas Bazaar – homemade cakes, bottles, unwanted gifts, unused beauty products, luxury food items, chocolate, unwanted handbags, white elephant goods and decent condition children’s toys ready to bring into school week commencing 30 November. Following a recent note from the School Council requesting toys please be aware that we intend to look at all toys donated and divide them between the PTA and School Council stalls unless you specifically want your donation to go to either cause (in which case please state this).
Raffle Tickets – if anyone would like any more raffle tickets please let Mrs Hopkins or a member of PTA know.
Wreath Making – Julie Pattisson has only a few places left for the wreath making evening on 10th Dec therefore please let her know if you are interested.
