Newsletter No 2 / 11th September 2009

Nit Alert!
We have been advised by a parent of a child in Class 1 that she has treated her child for nits. We are grateful for this information and ask that all families please check their child(ren)’s hair this weekend for nits and treat if necessary, in order to eradicate this problem quickly.

After School Fun Club
A reminder that there are currently places available on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays at the after school fun club, run by Mrs Howlett and Mrs Hopkins until 5pm each day in the portacabin. The cost is £5 per session for payment received in advance and £6 if paid on the day. A registration form needs to be completed (if it hasn’t been already) and this club is open to all pupils aged 3 or over.

Recorders
Recorder lessons will begin again on Monday 21st September for all pupils in Years 3-6. For hygiene reasons pupils need their own recorder. These are available from the school office for £6.50 each or can be bought from a music shop such as Blackwells in Oxford. Recorder books are also available to purchase from the office at £3.50 each.

Roald Dahl Day
On Monday 14th September we shall be celebrating Roald Dahl Day in school with some fun stories and activities. A number of associated activities have been uploaded onto the Learning Platform for pupils and their parents to access. Each family should now have a unique user name and password which will allow them to access the Learning Platform from their home computer.
